{{Somewhat}} Wordless Wednesday!

Our week so far hasn't been quite as crazy as last week, thank goodness! We have been busy, don't get me wrong, but a good (versus exhausting) busy. We're gearing up for a weekend of "daddy & Mellany time" while mama is at a MOPS retreat (here in Kearney). I hear daddy is planning some FUN activities!

{Somewhat} Wordless Wednesday!

This mama is tired. Lots going on this week including Johnny's boss traveling to Kearney for a visit; which means late nights. Swim lessons. Play time and lunch dates with kid friends. Running errands. Mama is tired and ready to crawl into bed. But, I have to upload some pictures because they are just too darn cute.

Saturday night date night. Annevar days 2013 Truck & Tractor Pull.....AWESOME time! I hadn't been to a tractor pull in years. 

Father's Day 2013...Great day! Breakfast in bed for Johnny, Church, lunch, Johnny went shooting at the gun range with his friend DJ, BLT's and dessert for dinner....he said he had a really good day!

A trip to the farm. My friend Kim raises chickens and the kids were dying to see them. Not only did they get to see them, but they got to feed them too. Mellany was in HEAVEN. 

Swimming lessons. Lessons aren't going super great this year as compared to last. We are making daily progress, but overall....she's a little more afraid (or just plain stubborn...haha!)

Summer = Farmer's Market, Swingset, Swimming & Bowling

We have been super busy with some summer fun this week! 

Last Friday we spent lots of time on the swingset (as we have several days this past week) and Saturday we got some goodies at the farmer's market.

Monday through Thursday we have gone swimming in the morning. One of our local pools offers a "Toddler Time" from 10-12:30 for $1/adult for kids ages 3 and under with an adult.....what a deal!! 

Today we ventured to The Big Apple for some bowling. Through August, The Big Apple offers free bowling for children 12 & under....another great deal! Mellany had never been bowling before and did pretty well for her first time I would say. 

She has been exhausted to say the least this week! 

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

 Mellany will definitely be enrolled in dance in the fall....she loves music and dancing! (No matter where she is, she stops like this if she hears music.)

5K!

I did it and I really can't believe it! I finished my first 5K. The goal was to just finish, running the entire time. Not only did I accomplish that goal, but I cut off 6 minutes of my treadmill/training time. I finished so much quicker than I thought, that Johnny and Mellany didn't even make it to the finish line in time....I was waiting on them! HA! (My time is still not a fast time by any means.) I've never been a runner and never thought I would consider myself one....but it looks like I'm hooked now! The race felt really good, as I wasn't "dying" like I thought I would be. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the trail was flat and had amazing scenery....I was truly meant to run the race!

Next up: August 31! 

The Goal: To beat my time!
