Project: Church Pew

When we moved into our new house, we acquired this beautiful old church pew from a church in North Carolina. We quickly realized that it would need some TLC. A few months and some Pinterest research later (what did we ever do before Pinterest?!), here we are....John sanded and repainted it this past week and oh my word....it is stunning!!! He did such a great job and we feel so much better about it being out in the elements. We loved the "weathered" look of it prior to refinishing it, but we just knew it wasn't going to make it through a harsh Indiana winter that way.

End of October and All things Halloween!

It's crazy to believe that we are on this side of halloween and are heading into the holiday season. This weekend the halloween decorations will come down and the fall items will go up. I've started putting together everyones Christmas lists and am finishing up purchasing the items that John & I will get for the kids....it's going to be here before we know it and the Barrett Family is ready!!! Holidays 2018 here we come!!!

Movie night @ home

Pumpkin Patch with Papa & Teresa! It was a short visit but we had so much fun while they were here.  The day we went to the patch it was a bit chilly and the pumpkins were pretty "picked over" but we still had fun! The corn pit, the big slide, tricycle races, caramel popcorn, mini-tractor rides and the corn maze made for a great afternoon.

Passing time in the car while we wait for Johnny to get out of school. Johnny's class happened to be playing outside and Charlie spotted Johnny and started waving saying "Johnny! Johnny!". Johnny waved right back to him......these boys really do love each other! (Hopefully it stays that way haha!)

Halloween Night! 

Jenny Lind & Anne Wheeler from "The Greatest Showman", Charlie the Astronaut, Johnny the Ghostbuster and Simon the Tractor. I just love this crew! 

We headed back to our old neighborhood for the trick-or-treating fun and it was so nice to see our neighbor friends and stroll the sidewalks with our Okos Framily! 

And....another foot....this time the culprit was Charlie though... he's taking after his older siblings for sure!
