Over the 4th of July we traveled to Kansas City! Our drive there was mostly ok, Charlie didn't really enjoy much of it but Mellany and Johnny did great. On our way back Charlie screamed for about 6 hours of the trip; he screamed until we turned him forward facing in the car and for the last 2 hours he was perfectly content. The kids really enjoyed being able to actually be outside and play (normally we are in KC during winter months). The nights were late and the mornings were early but we all had such a great time!!!

The drive home....Charlie was finally happy! (But also wondering..."who are you people?") ha!!
The kids are asking daily to go back to KC to ride the golf cart, swing on the swingset and play on the slip-n-slide....it was such a nice time!!! But, as it always is, it's good to be back home too!
