Happy Sunday! Have a great week!!!

Recital :: "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride"

Mellany's second ballet recital has come and gone. John and I are blown away by her confidence on stage and how comfortable she is up there with the bright lights in front of lots of people....it doesn't phase her one bit and she said she wasn't nervous at all (in fact when I asked her if she was nervous, she kind of chuckled and said "no mom, it was exciting!).

We made an entire day of the recital and got ready with our friend Charlotte in the morning....hair, makeup, wardrobe and lunch! When we arrived at the venue shortly after lunch, we checked the girls in to go backstage then Kelley and I waited for John & Jon to arrive so we could take our seats. We didn't have to wait long to see the girls because their performance was the second one!  The performance was titled "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride" which is a song from the Disney movie "Lilo and Stitch" (which of course Mellany loves!). The girls' costumes couldn't have been anymore perfect for the number. When it came time to dance, Mellany performed exactly how she rehearsed, nailing every single part with a smile on her face!

John and I have so much pride for this little lady!! (And Charlotte too!) We can't wait to see where her love of dance takes her! She's already getting excited for next year's recital!

Dress Rehearsal!

Recital Day!
I asked Mellany if I could take her picture and of course she didn't hesitate. She then told Johnny to come get in the picture, which he did.....but obviously I didn't get a sweet little smile like I had initially thought I would get.

...thankfully I got a pretty sweet smile from all three of our babies at the same time!

Mellany, Miss. Amelia, Charlotte

Daddies surprised the girls with balloons and flowers!

{{Somewhat}} Wordless Tuesday!

A quick trip to Meijer always includes a ride on "Sandy"

1st time sitting in a high chair at a restaurant!!

Warmer weather = time outside painting birdhouses

Swimming lessons for these soon-to-be 3 year olds! Johnny loved it! He blew bubbles, kicked his legs and even got to jump in the water!

Happy baby boy!

Kindergarten Round-Up! Mellany had a blast and couldn't wait to make new friends!! John and I were so happy for her, sad for ourselves and wondering how the time went so quickly that we were sitting in a room prepping to have a kindergartner in the house!

...the night was topped off with a special treat with our special girl!

John was flying his drone. He got it stuck in my hair!

Easter gifts from Nana!

You know you're the 3rd child when....the stroller you fall asleep in gets moved inside....haha!

Dressing room...waiting on Mellany....a restless Johnny and a hungry Charlie!

Saturday morning at the salon! Pretty perfect if you ask me!

Bought Charlie a new hat for summer....it looked so cute but will be returned because there is no strap that goes under the chin and he keeps pulling it off....

Easter goodies from Papa & Teresa

Mel was so proud of herself for getting Charlie onto her "lap" all by herself!

Baby laughs and a sweet bond between big sister and little brother!
