Johnny had his first day of soccer this past week!! He was super excited and couldn't wait to get on the field. As you will see in most of the pictures, a lot of parents had to go out on the field with their kiddos to encourage them. Not my little guy. He walked right out onto that field and didn't look back even once. At one point, after scoring a goal, he got really proud of himself and came over beaming with excitement and gave me a hug......but he promptly returned to the field after. He listened to every single direction that was given and payed attention the entire 30 minutes. I was so proud of him! Big sister cheered him on from the sidelines and wanted to join in on the excitement and Charlie, well, he just wanted to be held by mama.
I have a feeling this will be the first of many afternoons/evenings at the soccer fields! After all, it's in his blood.....from his daddy of course (this mama didn't last but one season on the soccer field).
