2020 Summer Bucket List: Part 2!

Fireworks

We purchased a few fireworks and set off John's cannon in Barrett Tradition. We of course shot off fireworks in safety glasses (hahaha). After we went through them all, the kids requested a night time bike ride, so we turned on their tire lights and went for it!

Tie Dye & Water Party
The Okos crew invited us over to tie dye some shirts and have a water party so we picked a day and journeyed over to their house with the Vincents for the first time in months!! We tie dyed shirts, played in the Okos' pool, played on the slip n slide and with water balloons and then took a trip through the woods to the creek. The kids had the best time and it was soooooooo nice to be able to finally play with our friends!!! The kids played for over 7 hours together and not one time did we have a fighting/arguing issue-they were just so happy to be together!

Service Project

Our church put together several service projects and one of them was to make a sign and put somewhere in town as an encouragement to others. We chose to put two signs at two of our neighborhood schools and one at the police station. Of course, we completed this project with the Okos crew.

If we have to wear masks, then we might as well match! :)

Dog N Suds

After placing our signs we had lunch at Dog N Suds...one of our summer favorites.

Kansas City

We hadn't been to KC since Christmas and since John is able to work from home, we spent a little over a week there. John worked from his mom's while the kids and I played at a different house each day, then he met us for dinner each night wherever we were. We had such a blast and were sad to come home.

We celebrated Daxton's 9th birthday!

Mom thought it would be fun to tie-dye with her grandkids....but we couldn't find a tie dye kit anywhere

I was able to have dinner with my HS bestie Audrey!

Daxton got a go-cart for his birthday and we rode it for a solid 2 days

Daxton asked if we could make some chocolate chip cookies so the boys and I loaded in the car for the grocery store to gather some ingredients. I don't get to do those kinds of things for my nieces and nephews hardly ever, so when I get the chance, I'm all over it.....I baked some for him and then froze some for him to have later too.

Charlie is all about taking pictures right now

...and Mellany too...

My newest niece Emberly....such a doll...but she doesn't like for others to hold her...

The boys snatched up my phone...

Johnny said he was hot and wanted to take his shirt off :)
