Fall!

It's been an extremely busy October in the Barrett house and now I'm trying to play catchup. We've had a birthday, a whole lot of baseball, John and I traveled, my mom visited, my dad and Teresa visited and we are about to celebrate my birthday and halloween......all good things, but a lot of it! 

Here's the month in a few pictures! 

Celebrating their first win of the season. We had a very young team this fall so most games were a little bit "character building". :) 

We went apple picking at Fair Oaks when my dad was in town....these are the only pictures I got...

Charlie at preschool....they made the cutest pigs and his teacher from last year sent me a picture of him playing games with his best buddy Griffin...

Mellany had a field trip to The Feast of the Hunter's Moon in Lafayette and had the best time with Mrs. Kelley and Charlotte

Mellany also had a cheer performance during half time of the high school football game. John and I were out of town but she said she had the best time and the video I got sure looked like she had a great time!!

With my mom still in town we headed to Fair Oaks to eat, play and see some dairy cows!

One of our neighbors has Colts season tickets and invited us to tag along. It was a bit weird to not be in a sea of red but we still had a really great time. The colts won and after the game we had tickets for an event where we got to be on the field and that was super cool too!

Livin' the baseball life!

Our life has been pretty much tball and baseball lately! We are at the ball park at least 3-4 nights a week for the boys and if I'm being totally honest, we are started to get a bit tired. While they love it....we are ready for some "free" nights. We've got about two weeks left and it will be over. It really is fun to watch them play on a team though and grow in their skills.

Charlie caught a bug....you could see it in his eyes he didn't feel good. 

Johnny trying his hardest to get his first hit of the season....he's getting so frustrated because he has yet to hit, but he's practicing and we are hoping it comes soon!

After tball lunch at Firehouse Subs....the employees were so sweet and came over to ask if the kids wanted to look at the equipment and ended up letting them try it all on! They had the best time!!

2021 Summer Bucket List: Part 2

Well....Fall is here and that officially marks the end of our summer bucket list fun. It was another amazing summer and while we didn't cross off everything we had planned to do, we still had the best time! 

Movies & McCords

What an adventure this day was! We planned to see the 10:15 showing of "Boss Baby". We got settled in our seats and the movie began......but 5 minutes in, we were forced to evacuate because there was a fire in the building behind the theater. As we evacuated the building, we turned behind us and saw the huge cloud of smoke. We weren't sure when we'd be able to get back in, so we all decided lunch at McCords sounded yummy. While eating lunch we called the theater and confirmed the 1:00 showing was "still on". So, we headed back to watch. It was a cute show and a day they will never forget! 

Picnic at the Park

We did this while in KC and sadly there isn't a picture with Mellany or even the Jones crew that was there too, but it did happen and they had such a great time and the weather was so incredible that we were there for like 4 hours! 

The Oasis

We did this back in the beginning of summer. I don't have any pictures to provide as evidence, but we did go and had a great time! 

Bowling

Also another activity where I didn't get a single picture! The kids had fun, but honestly the boys were more interested in the arcade at the bowling alley than actually bowling. Mellany loved it though! 

Sleepover

Johnny got to sleepover at Simons, Mellany got to sleepover with friends at Elizabeth's and Charlie got to sleepover with me at Gammy's.
