We've had another busy week at the Barrett home....full of dr visits, dress-up, story times, visits with neighbors for the 4th of July and all the chaos that goes along with a family of 4. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Even though I don't think we have ever been busier in our entire lives, I also don't think we've been as happy. And now that we know Baby Johnny is completely healthy with just some reflux and milk protein sensitivities, we are thoroughly enjoying every single minute of being parents of two!
Here's what we've captured over the past week:
Waiting for the GI Specialist in Carmel, IN. Uncle Brad would be so proud of Mellany playing the abacus. As for the picture of Baby J and I, Mellany took it.....I thought she did a pretty good job for being 2 1/2.
A daily scene in our house....Cinderella!
He's becoming very alert during the day and even "talkative"
My cheese-less pizza. I usually find it "weird" to take pics of my/our dinners but thought this would be a somewhat funny memory to look back on years down the road. Because of Baby Johnny's sensitivities to dairy and soy (milk protein), I have cut them out of my diet (since I'm nursing)....thus, the cheese-less pizza.
Baby Smiles!
Future cheerleader?! I mean...look at that balance!
More baby smiles and talking!
After 6 weeks, we finally brought out the play mat. Johnny loves it and Mellany has enjoyed playing in it with him, revisiting one of her old favorites.....though, I don't know if she quite remembers that it was a favorite of hers.
Cheesy shirt time!! "No 1 Little Brother" & "Big Sister". They must have known it was super cheesy because these are the best pics I could get from them.
Baby snuggles during afternoon naps.
Gymnastics! Where's baby Johnny?!?! Hidden by the toy that had to be in the shot, of course. I am in LOVE with my Tula baby carrier (the blue zig zag fabric). It makes things 10 times easier when I am needing both hands.
Here's to another great week and hoping for the best on our upcoming KC trip!!!
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!!!
