We were so lucky to celebrate Easter at our Church this year and with my mama in town!! It has been several years since we have been able to be with family on Easter and it was really nice to have her here. We started the morning at church, ate lunch out, opened Easter baskets that the Easter bunny left while we were gone and then made some of my mamas fried chicken for dinner! We couldn't have asked for a better Easter Sunday!
Easter baskets were kept simple this year by us...a few books, a few pieces of clothing and a toy. Gammy, Papa & Teresa and Nana also added in lots of goodies to the mix that made it so special. (Mellany LOVES getting packages/cards/letters in the mail to open!)

......at a later date, we took a family trip to Target to spend the money Nana gave Mellany for Easter. Mellany picked out some princesses that have interchangeable dresses, she put them on the belt all by herself then paid for them with her money and took the bag from the cashier. She was so excited and loved the whole experience.
