Calvary Baptist Church hosted VBS this past week with the theme "Journey off the Map". I volunteered to help with the 3rd/4th graders in the morning, so Johnny and Mellany got to be part of the program too. I LOVED VBS growing up and I was really hoping that Mellany (& Johnny) would/will too....and they did! Mellany was constantly talking about the volcano in the church and always reminding me that she needs coins for offering to dump mud on the teacher's heads at the end of the week. She would sing the songs all day long and talk about the awesome snack she had and when I would ask her if she talked about Jesus she would reply with "Jesus is the light". (Now, I'm not 100% sure that she learned that at VBS, but she obviously learned it somewhere and has talked about it at some point. ha!)
Thankfully, they had a photographer and some teachers that took pictures throughout the week so that we were able to see just how much fun these two had during the week!
