Summer Bucket List: Part 2

I am LOVING the summer bucket list idea! We've done so many things that I think I would have just put off had it not been for our Okos friends and "the list".....and it has been SO FUN!! Here's a few more things we've checked off!

Homemade Pizza & Game Night: My idea of having the kids help me make pizza didn't really pan out like I had thought....they really weren't that interested. I'm guessing because they were having more fun outside that day. After pizza we played Candyland; and from looking at the pictures you could probably guess from John's face that Mellany won a game and I won a game. :) He's pretty sure that Mellany stacked the pile in her favor with all the double color cards she was getting. Mellany was sure loving every minute of beating daddy!

Sprinklers/Backyard Pool Party: These kids are like fish in the summertime and love playing in water any chance they can....needless to say, they had a blast and were completely exhausted by bedtime.

Bowling & McCords: We spent the morning bowling with friends and then visited McCords for lunch which was an addition to the original list!

Zoo: We visited the FREE Columbian Park Zoo

Gibson's Shaved Ice &VBS: We added VBS to the list as a late addition and it is documented in its own post. Gibson's shaved ice came to VBS and even though I have no photo documentation of it, we have crossed it off the list too. I'm sure we will be making a stop there at some point again this summer.

Rainy Day Craft: We made T-shirts!

Rainy Day Baking: We made Chocolate Banana Muffins.....I can't tell you how much this bucket list item made this previous FACS teacher's heart sing!!!! I'm not sure who loved it more....the kids or myself!

Playing in the Rain: This was another addition to the list.....we were actually having a joint sprinkler/backyard pool party and the rain came.....so we added it in....the kids thought we were the best mommies ever.......and then the storm came and the fun was over!
