The theme for this year's VBS was Game On! This means the week was about everything sports and I have to say this might be might favorite theme to date....mostly because the kids attending VBS enjoyed the theme so much.
This year was especially neat because Mellany was in my class along with two of her best friends Charlotte & Nolla. Charlotte and Nolla are actually Kelley & Sarah's daughters who were the other two teachers in the classroom with me. Needless to say we had a blast!
Johnny got to be with his best buddy Simon in the 4 year old classroom and Charlie was in the "wobblers" classroom with Mabelle (Sarah's littlest girl).
The week was an absolute blast, but you could tell everyone was exhausted by the end of the week--in the best way possible! Papa & Teresa were in town on the same day as the VBS program so it was really neat that they got to take part in that with us.

Mellany wore her ballet leotard
Johnny wore a soccer shirt

Mellany & I: Orange
Johnny: John Deere Green (because his class didn't have a specific color)
Charlie's class didn't have a color....
Day Four: Favorite Team
Rachele: Mizzou Football
Mellany: Northwest Missouri State
Johnny: KC Royals
Charlie: KC Chiefs
**Between all four of us, we had Missouri covered!**
Day Five
Gibson's Shaved Ice + Final Program
Charlie saw me after he got into the auditorium for the program and just lost it....he started screaming and crying uncontrollably and fighting the teachers to let go of him; so he stayed with me after that.....poor guy, I felt so bad for him (and his teachers who were trying to contain him). He was sooooo good though. And of course he went right for Kelley and Charlotte!
