A lot happening!

So it's been a few weeks.......and I've got a lot to get caught up on!!!.....

Fall is officially here and our birthday season is almost over....we are right in the middle of having visitors (Nana has come, Papa has come and Gammy will be here so soon!)....and we are getting so excited for the holiday season to arrive!! We currently have all of our spooky decorations in the house and the kids had a blast putting them all up.

This weekend we will put all the finishing touches on our outside projects and probably mow one last time before we hunker down for winter. (I don't think a single one of us 5 is ready for winter weather! We have just enjoyed the summer soooooo much!) The kids fall break starts Thursday and Friday so we are hoping to do some fun things like making apple pie and a trip to the pumpkin patch (fingers crossed!)

Until then, here's allllll that we've been doing the past few weeks!

Winston's favorite spot....in our bed, laying on his back, legs straight up in the air

Sneaking a peak on Johnny at preschool (he's in the blue t-shirt)

Johnny's class took a field trip to Prophetstown State Park Farm.....He loved seeing the horses, chickens and bunnies but loved playing on the playground the most!

"Mom, look what I did to my socks. Do you like it?!"
My response was that I did the exact same thing as a little girl....haha!

Halloween Costume.....he said he wanted to be a ghost for months and then when he saw the garbage truck, he totally changed his mind....cutest little garbage truck I've ever seen!

Definitely brothers! :)

John, Virginia, Amy....these 3 traveled to Oklahoma for Virginia's brother John's funeral. Was the first time in a while these 3 had been alone together and I think they had a great time!

Safety first! (I just love how hard Johnny is working and Charlie is standing there with his hands on his hips "evaluating"...)

After several days of being gone, Winston was glad John was home :)

Ready for school in all the JoJo gear

Charlie in class....he is below the red bulletin board in the gray pants

Johnny's class had an incubator that hatched chicks. For a week he (and Charlie's class too) got to watch the eggs crack and eventually hatch....definitely one of his favorite things so far!

All in one day, Charlie's class had the pastor come read to them and a special visitor who was blind with a guide dog. He told us all about how he couldn't pet the dog because it was working. (Charlie is in the green jacket)

Johnny's class had a special visitor: Norie the goat! (Johnny is in the lime green t-shirt)

JoJo jacket: Check! Rolled socks: Check! This girl was on her way to school as an official 8 year old!

Mellany had the best birthday and walked away with some amazing gifts! I was able to grab a shot of a few of them.....a descendants t-shirt, a JoJo scrapbook, a pot holder loom...

One tired boy!

Kelley and I braved a trip to Costco (about an hour away) with all 3 boys one Monday.....we got there an hour early because we didn't realize the store was on Central time.....so we took the boys in to Lowe's to potty.....apparently this is what happens when you take 3 boys into Lowe's.....

They really loved this arcade machine in Costco....after about 2.5 seconds, we promptly left the game....definitely an adult game....whooops!

We love halloween and matching shirts!

My sweet boy!

Sleepover at Simon's house during Mellany's birthday party! Barrett boys lasted until about 10:00 before they started crying because they "saw something creepy"....which then upset Simon because they were leaving the sleepover.....let's just say Mrs. Kelley is a saint!

While daddy is away, we send him selfies at the morning bus stop...

Johnny got to bring home the Clifford bag from preschool! It comes with a Clifford lovie, book, puzzle and journal where you document your time together for the next person to read.....it was such a fun project! Clifford went to the park for a picnic with us, rode in the car, read books and played transformers...Johnny so loved having him!

When you randomly get free balloons at the grocery store....it becomes the best grocery trip ever! For everyone except for mom, because she cannot see where she's going...

Mellany taking selfies...

Papa, Teresa, Liz and Emmett came to visit us and we had a great time! We made trips to and from schools, played outside, shopped at Meijer, ate at Texas Roadhouse and took a trip to Fair Oaks Farm!!!

Happy Wednesday!
