Thanksgiving Break: Before, During & After

So its been a little bit and I'm playing catch-up after a couple of weeks of thanksgiving anticipation, relaxation and sadness that its over. But per usual, the Barrett crew is still pumped for the Christmas season! Pinky our elf has arrived, my shopping is finished, cards are sent, decorations are up and all the Christmas music and movies you can think of are playing on repeat! We've got a little less than three weeks and we will be in relaxation mode all over again. It can't come soon enough!!

Heres a ton of pictures of what we've been doing lately!

Mellany attended the Purdue Dance Team Dance Camp with Charlotte (her friend Quinn was there too!) and the girls had the best time. They learned some technique and a routine and then performed it for the parents at the end of the camp. The best part is that we love Coach Mal so huge bonus there! This will be one that she does every year I'm sure!

Just sleeping...totally normal....

The boys playing foosball while I did a few things at church

We got two big boxes from a Sam's Club shipment and they entertained the kids for DAYS! They read books in them, colored in them, watched movies in them...

Mellany and Charlotte didn't have school on a day that the boys did. While waiting for them to get out, Charlotte hopped in our car!

Lunch with James & Olivia

Charlie turned his box into a couch....

Johnny's is an airplane and he's the pilot...

....and watching a movie and having a snack in the boxes

Dinner before dance class with Charlotte

Johnny and Simon's Thanksgiving Feast program

Charlie with Mrs. Kelley and Mr. Jon whom is is thankful for this year. :) (The  teachers in Charlie's class asked each child what they were thankful for and they wrote it down on a leaf. Charlie said he was thankful for Mom, Mrs. Kelley and Mr. Jon.....it was seriously the sweetest!)

2019-2020 School Pictures

Playing at Simon's house while both girls were at a birthday party. They made "John Deere Heaven", played Tonka Tiny's and fixed a combine costume with tape.

Meanwhile at home, I was making Christmas candy and cookies :)

Christmas decorations!!!!

A visit to the ENT with my girl. Hoping to find some answers for her horrible bloody noses.

Thanksgiving diner prep and some kitchen dancing. It was just the 5 of us on Thanksgiving day this year. John cooked the meal, we watched the Macy's parade and stayed on our PJ's all day long. Super relaxing!

Johnny made a bed out of pillows

The day after Thanksgiving, we took the kids to see Frozen 2. The movie was so good and everyone loved it!

Back at the church putting some shelves together as a whole family on a Saturday afternoon and the kids found a bird in one of the classrooms.

Again at the church, the boys hitched a ride on the cart I was using...

Winston really loves to snuggle up in some clean laundry.
