Working through the "Summer Bucket List" has definitely been at a much slower pace this year, so we've decided to continue through the fall and cross off as many additional things as we can.....here's to hoping we can cross off at least a couple more items! :)
Peaches
We got peaches again this year from the peach truck! We had isolated ourselves that week because we had just gotten back from KC so thankfully, Mrs. Kelley picked them up for us and dropped them off. We sliced most of them up and ate them or froze them. I also made some peach crumble and peaches and cream bread. I don't really care much for peaches but these peaches are so good that I even ate some!!
Okos Garden (substitute for Farmer's Market)
The Okos' planted a large garden this year and then invited us to pick some of the produce....so we made a morning of it! We picked tomatoes, watermelon, cucumber, zucchini, cantaloupe and flowers. Mellany was the "master picker" in our family and the boys liked carrying around the extremely large zucchini as swords :) Definitely a great substitute for the Farmer's Market!
