The holidays are officially here!! It's been a while since I've posted anything and that's because we've been taking part in all the activities and loving every minute of this season!!
I started taking Winston on rides with me as much as possible to prep him for our trip to KC for Thanksgiving. The rides were mostly to the bus stop and back to the house but on this day I took him all the way to the school with me. He did so good until we were headed back home and then he threw up....hopefully one day he will not vomit/drool!
We had a last minute change of plans for Thanksgiving. Johnny spiked a fever right before we were supposed to leave which meant no traveling for us. I placed orders with Cracker Barrel and Honey Baked Ham for pickup the next day and voila: Thanksgiving Dinner! It was so great to be able to do last minute!
We were all super sad about not being able to make the trip (unpacking for a trip we didn't even take is the worst!) but we tried to make the best of it. We played games, had some technology time, did some cooking, watched movies and had lots of relaxing in pajamas!
These two besties made the front page of the school website!
While picking up our Thanksgiving dinner, I grabbed a cookie decorating kit too.
This kid sure knows how to relax!
Johnny wanted to send Mrs. Kelley a picture of the new book he picked at school. It was about her favorite (not) animal: owls! Mrs. Kelley REALLY dislikes owls and Johnny thought it was so funny to send her a picture.
Ready for the day....matching with his bestie Simon!
Winston snuggling with Mellany while reading....she was in heaven!
Winston really does love attention...
Our Christmas adventure with the Okos crew this year was the Sullivan Express in Indianapolis. It is a train ride to the North Pole through a hardware store greenhouse and storage rooms. There's also a model train, an adult beverage station, a restaurant that sells food, hot chocolate and cookies and all the toys available to purchase you could imagine. It is really like the ultimate hardware store! Once at the North Pole, you got to visit with Santa and tell him your wishes this year. It was really well done and such a fun experience! The entire train ride and Santa visit lasted about 40 minutes (the greenhouse was huge!).
John and Johnny waving/greeting people in the parking lot at church....
...and the cutest little station to take pictures at once inside
We made some Christmas cards for a group at church and they turned out so cute!
