Two Days until Christmas!!!!

School is out, I feel much better (I got hit with the flu earlier this week...yuck!) and we are READY for Christmas!!! My sickness put a bit of a damper on some of our plans, but I'm hoping we will be able to make up for it in the long run!

Here's some snapshots of all the activities from school to sports and everything in between!

Charlie picked a volcano book at preschool and wanted me to send a pic to our neighbor Cooper because Cooper loves volcanoes!

We had our family Christmas and we had 3 happy kiddos!!

Mellany had her Dance Winter Showcase and we got to actually be in-person this year. She could only have two people, but we got to go.....the boys stayed with a sitter. Mellany and Charlotte decided to fill the car ride with selfies :)

I am always so amazed at how beautifully these two girls dance....I just love watching them!

For our teachers this year, we gave them a basket with 12 small gifts inside-one to open each day (same as we did last year fr the elementary teachers). Simon hopped in my car (Mellany hopped into Kelley's) so the boys could carry it in together....it's the sweetest!!!

I like to do a big purge/organization sweep before Christmas gifts come into the house and it feels soooo good!!!

Looking like a teenager with her wavy hair.

Johnny fed his cows early one morning before school with some feed Simon gave him from his stash.

Charlie's letter to Santa....he signed his name, dad drew the Nintendo switch.

Winston wanted to snuggle...

Charlie's last preschool Christmas program

Random Charlie selfie...

I completed the Fitmas challenge at the gym....and way early!! (Thank goodness because I got the flu and wouldn't have been able to finish...)

For our individual Christmas party this year, we threw some axes and had the best time!! Definitely something we want to do again.

Oh, Pinky!

Our local fire department drove through our neighborhood last weekend with flashing lights, blaring Christmas music and Santa riding on the fire truck and it was amazing!!! The boys had already fallen asleep but Mellany and I got to enjoy it....it was definitely a favorite!

Pinky roasting marshmallows with Bluey...

John went on Johnny's field trip this past week to the Purdue Women's basketball game. They had a great time....it was Johnny's first field trip thanks to Covid...

Charlie snuggled with me...he made his own little bed

Pinky just riding a tractor...

Can't wait to see what the next few days bring.....I personally can't wait for some relaxation (without an illness) and family time!!
Merry Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving & the beginning of December!

The holidays are officially here!! It's been a while since I've posted anything and that's because we've been taking part in all the activities and loving every minute of this season!!

I started taking Winston on rides with me as much as possible to prep him for our trip to KC for Thanksgiving. The rides were mostly to the bus stop and back to the house but on this day I took him all the way to the school with me. He did so good until we were headed back home and then he threw up....hopefully one day he will not vomit/drool!

We had a last minute change of plans for Thanksgiving. Johnny spiked a fever right before we were supposed to leave which meant no traveling for us. I placed orders with Cracker Barrel and Honey Baked Ham for pickup the next day and voila: Thanksgiving Dinner! It was so great to be able to do last minute!

We were all super sad about not being able to make the trip (unpacking for a trip we didn't even take is the worst!) but we tried to make the best of it. We played games, had some technology time, did some cooking, watched movies and had lots of relaxing in pajamas!

These two besties made the front page of the school website!

While picking up our Thanksgiving dinner, I grabbed a cookie decorating kit too.

This kid sure knows how to relax!

Johnny wanted to send Mrs. Kelley a picture of the new book he picked at school. It was about her favorite (not) animal: owls! Mrs. Kelley REALLY dislikes owls and Johnny thought it was so funny to send her a picture.

Ready for the day....matching with his bestie Simon!

Winston snuggling with Mellany while reading....she was in heaven!

Winston really does love attention...

Our Christmas adventure with the Okos crew this year was the Sullivan Express in Indianapolis. It is a train ride to the North Pole through a hardware store greenhouse and storage rooms. There's also a model train, an adult beverage station, a restaurant that sells food, hot chocolate and cookies and all the toys available to purchase you could imagine. It is really like the ultimate hardware store! Once at the North Pole, you got to visit with Santa and tell him your wishes this year. It was really well done and such a fun experience! The entire train ride and Santa visit lasted about 40 minutes (the greenhouse was huge!).

John and Johnny waving/greeting people in the parking lot at church....

...and the cutest little station to take pictures at once inside

We made some Christmas cards for a group at church and they turned out so cute!

Our neighbor had her birthday party at the trampoline park and we had a blast!!

Winston just sitting...like a human child! :) I'm not sure what we ever did without him.

Last but not least, we got this little guy's school pictures back! I still can't believe this is his last year of preschool!
