Our Home!

Since a good majority of our friends and family haven't made the visit to IN yet, I thought I would post pictures of our house. Johnny moved into this house when he first moved to Evansville about 3 years ago. We have been the only owners of the house. It has an amazing layout and I can't tell you enough how great it is to no longer be living in an apartment! We're hoping to make some upgrades on the house like wood floors, a deck/patio, sprinkler system, granite countertops and I believe even more painting is in store for me once my long term sub position ends.

I'm also always looking for really great things to decorate with and my latest ideas are coming from UpperCase Living. (Although I will say that Johnny did all the decorating in the house with the help of his mom and I couldn't have done a better job myself.) I recently attended a party with my friend Selena and there are so many great ideas from uppercase living, it is overwhelming! If you want to check it out for yourself, you can go to http://www.uppercaseliving.com/. There are some really cool ideas, I just don't even know where to start since I've only lived in our house for about 3 months now and there's not really a whole lot to decorate. We also got some really nice frames and such for wedding gifts and we're debating on where to put those as well.

Hope you enjoy the pictures! (I seem to have forgotten pictures of the back of the house....but you get the idea...)

This is looking into the living room and dining room from the entry way.

 Entry way

 Hallway

 Kitchen again....nice and big!

Dining room and doors that go out to the fenced back yard.

Laundry room. We painted this ourselves and were a little scared of the paint color initially but I absolutely love it! So different but very calming!

 Downstairs bathroom

 Master Bedroom

 Master Bath

 Master bath again....

Master bedroom with huge walk in closet

Upstairs Loft/Office

 Upstairs bathroom....needs to be painted

Bonus room ....needs to be painted (The rocking chair in the picture was my mom and dad's. I think they got it when I was born or it was passed to them. But they were going to sell it and I begged them to keep it until I got a place of my own. It isn't the prettiest looking piece of furniture but it has some history and for some reason I just love it.)

Spare Bedroom #1....one of the rooms that needs to be painted....

Spare Bedroom #1 again....it also needs some decorations...

Spare Bedroom #2....also needs some things on the wall.....instead of the bed... :-)

Spare Bedroom #2....and all of our random items we're not quite sure what to do with just yet. All of the items underneath the table are from the wedding.....including the white shadowbox with my bouquet and Johnny's boutenniere (sp) that Virginia put together for us....so cool! The table, I believe, used to be Johnny's great grandma's table. It's from the early 1900's (I think) and it has a ton of character....it is an awesome table, I just wish we had a more open place to show it off! Maybe the entry way could be a good spot....

Front of the house....we just recently painted the door and it looks so much better.

Front again.....i'm working on a bigger/better wreath for the front door but other than that, I love the front of our home with all the plants and rock.

  1. Hey Guys-

Your house looks great; love the space... and over time, Rachele, you will find your style and personal touch, and suddently it will all come together with great satisfaction. And after all... it is just your "shell", you, Johnny, Bo, and your love is really all that matters... the "shell" just keeps you covered. :) Have a great weekend!
