What We've Learned:
-Cutting baby fingernails is much easier while baby is sleeping
-Wearing pee, poo or spit-up is normal attire
-Showers are a luxury (And so is sleep)
-A trip to Wal-Mart can do mommy a WORLD of good
-Using a warm cloth to cover baby while bathing her/him stops the screaming
-From the moment of birth, you become instantly protective
-As soon as you get baby "figured out" she/he changes again
-Don't switch the formula unless you talk to your pediatrician!
-You need a U-Haul to travel anywhere
-The video monitor is our BFF
-You never look at a crying/screaming baby in public the same way again
-They grow too fast
-Patience is key!
-Changing diapers properly is essential to not having a blowout (Cloth diapers are fantastic)
-Our lives no longer revolve around "us" and it is WONDERFUL
-We are now "Mellany's Mom & Dad" instead of Johnny & Rachele
-You can try and plan, but you should plan on it probably not working (or at least not working the way you thought it would)
-Late is the new "on time"
-Projectile vomit is scary
-Colds are heartbreaking
-Bath time is much easier with 2 people
-There can never be enough pictures or video clips
- A Glider/Rocker is a Godsend! (As are gas drops)
-15 minutes of "work" to get a 1-second smile is totally worth it!
-Routine is critical
-It's amazing what you can do with one hand while holding a baby
-Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles are awesome
-WE ARE SO BLESSED!
....to be continued!

We are so proud for you two (three)! You're doing a fabulous job... can you believe that you are now that much smarter?! Ha! I totally agree with each of them! :)If only baby Mellany understood how blessed she is. :) Keep loving her... that smile is precious!
