{{Somewhat}} Wordless Wednesday!

It's been a really great week in the Barrett home. We've done some really fun things but nothing extraordinary. It's nice to be finally settled and enjoying family time after the craziness of the past 8 months. Here is our week in review:

Mellany and I made cupcakes with sprinkles. Had to let her lick the beaters like I used to with my mama and John with his. :)

He's already growing so fast. He looks so much bigger in the swing and is actually watching the birds and even reaching for them.

Mellany woke up from nap last Friday and wanted big girl panties on!! Here's to hoping this is a life changing moment and she potty trains soon!

Saturday morning snuggles!

A little time in the trampoline

Tending to the farm animals....I was pretty impressed with her being able to "stack" the cows.

LOVE to watch him sleep!

Love my two babies!

Opening a surprise from Gammy. She was SOOO into it! She wanted to try everything right now lol...the "beautiful dresses" had to both be tried on and the markers had to be tested. She also found one of John's medals that day and used it as a stethoscope like Doc McStuffins. I love this stage of pretend play; it's so fun to enter her "world".

Again....love to watch him sleeping!

Big girl sitting in the computer chair by herself at the library.

Told her to grab her shoes so we could go to gymnastics. These are the ones she chose....it was a battle I chose not to fight. Once I added her jacket because it was chilly outside, I had to take a pic of course. :)

First day of "big girl gymnastics" (class without mama). She did great! Her friend (& one of our awesome neighbors) Lauren is in the class too and was a huge help to Mellany. I couldn't have been more proud. She did things for Miss Cristi that she would never do for me, so it looks like we made the right decision in moving her up a class.

A little sibling play time! Mellany even wanted to hold his hand....talk about heart melting!
