I would have to say that this birthday was probably the most simple and most fulfilling birthday yet. It was really a day of reflection for me; reflection on the past decade or so. I've graduated high school and college, started the first few years of my career, married the most perfect man for me, delivered two healthy and gorgeous babies who I get to be with every day, moved across the midwest, traveled to amazing places, celebrated happy times and grieved the sad ones, spent (and appreciated) more quality time with family and I've made some of the most amazing friends along the way. This birthday, I am so thankful!! Truly thankful for all that God has given me!
Back to the simple....our day was filled with a shower (yes, we are still in the "showering is a huge feat" phase) gymnastics, lunch with Johnny at his office, naps, Jimmy John's for dinner, Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake and Royals playing game 7 of the World Series!! It really doesn't get a whole lot better in my opinion!!! Nothing fancy, just time spent with my loves. I was also very surprised to get a text message from Johnny with a picture of a brand new SLR camera!!! It should be here this week and I cannot WAIT to use it! It will definitely make taking pictures of these quick kiddos much easier!
