Camp Tecumseh has been one of Mellany's favorite summer activities for the past 2 years. This year was extra special because Johnny was able to join in on the fun too! (He missed the first day because he had gotten the super high fever sickness but was ready to go on Tuesday!) Mellany had been prepping him for weeks on what to expect and rules that he would have to follow, where they eat lunch,, how they swim, etc. so he was ready to go!
As with every year prior, Mellany had the best time ever! She loved all the songs, the games, the animals, riding horses and most of all the swimming! This year, she even "upgraded" to a green swim band by doing so well on her swim test. She was so proud of herself and we couldn't have been more proud either. It was a goal she had set for herself and it was awesome to see her achieve it. Because she had a green band this allowed her to slide down the water slide during pool time.
Johnny's week at camp went really well too. He was a bit unsure during the week but says that his favorite part of camp were the animals at the mini farm, horseback riding and being with his best friend Simon. He wasn't a big fan of the pool because he could barely touch and was just ok with all the singing, games, etc. Either way, he says he will be back next year!
