Mellany had her first day of preschool right after we returned from Branson. This year she is in the 3 year old preschool program at our church. The program is called "Jump Start" and it is the same program she was in last year, just for 3 year olds instead of up to 3. She was super excited about starting back up and we had been talking about it for weeks....picking out her back pack, getting her supplies, talking about the friends she might see, her new teachers, etc. She just couldn't wait.
While she was a little reluctant and shy upon entering the classroom (most likely because it was a different room than last year) I knew she would have so much fun. When I picked her up I had a thousand and one questions for her about the activities they did, if they played outside, what friends she made, if she liked the teachers, what she had for snack, what books they read.....all the questions I asked got the same response "I made a puppet. Mama, where's my puppet?"!!! Sure enough, she did make a puppet(based on the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear") and she proudly showed it to me when we got home. After that, she no longer responded and only wanted to eat her lunch. The girl was exhausted! And of course, she can't wait to go back!
Traditional first day pictures....our baby girl is getting so big...I could just cry!
Our baby boy is getting big too! And seriously, trying to get a good shot of these two together is pretty much impossible!
Her brown bear puppet
"All About Me"
I did this for her last year too and I am so glad I did. It was really fun to compare the two and see what had changed and what was still the same.
Side-Note:
I have to post these two pictures from last year just because of how much these kids have changed in one year. It is just so incredible to me!
